Noble and ready
Elonzo is a rare variant of Alonzo, which itself is the Spanish form of the Germanic name Alfonso. It combines the elements 'adal' meaning noble and 'funs' meaning ready or prompt. While it saw some usage in the United States during the late 19th century, it remains a distinctive and uncommon choice today.
About 9 boys were named Elonzo in 2025.
