Deep black wood
Derived from the English word for the dense, dark heartwood of the ebony tree. Historically, the wood was highly prized for its beauty and durability, often used for fine furniture and piano keys. It gained significant popularity in the United States during the 1970s and 1980s as a name celebrating Black beauty and heritage.
