Son of the sea or great flood
Dillion is a variant of the Welsh name Dylan. In Welsh mythology, Dylan was a sea god or hero associated with the ocean, often translated as 'son of the sea'. While the 'Dillion' spelling is much rarer than the standard 'Dylan', it retains the same maritime etymology.
