Vindictive or valley; possibly a variant of Danae or Dana
The exact etymology of Denea is uncertain, though it is often used as a modern elaboration of Dana or a variant of the Greek name Danae. In Greek mythology, Danae was a princess of Argos and the mother of Perseus. It may also be interpreted as a feminine form of Dean, derived from the Old English word for valley.
