In Greek mythology, Danai (or Danae) was a princess of Argos and the mother of Perseus. The name is also widely used in Zimbabwe among Shona speakers, where it carries the meaning 'to call' or 'to summon'. It represents a blend of ancient classical roots and vibrant African linguistic tradition.
