Watchful, alert, or from the place of Cassius
Casie is a modern phonetic spelling of Casey, derived from the Irish surname Γ Cathasaigh, meaning watchful or vigilant. It is also occasionally used as a diminutive for Cassandra or Catherine. While it peaked in popularity during the late 20th century, it remains a rare alternative to the more common Casey or Kacie.
