Cadi is a Welsh diminutive of Catrin, which is the Welsh form of Katherine. It shares the same etymological roots as the Greek name Aikaterine, which is widely interpreted as meaning pure. While used as a standalone name in Wales, it remains rare and distinctive in the United States.
