Sword or fiery beacon
A modern variation of Bernice or Brandy, often associated with the Italian word 'brando' meaning sword. It may also be interpreted as a blend of the Dutch 'brandewijn' (burnt wine) and the suffix -ice, suggesting a fiery or spirited nature.
