Sword or fire; broom-covered hill
A modern variation of Brandy, which originated as a Dutch word for 'burnt wine' but also shares roots with the English surname Brandon, meaning 'broom-covered hill'. It can also be interpreted through Old Norse roots meaning 'sword'.
