Son of Talmai; son of the furrows
Bartek is the popular Polish diminutive of Bartลomiej, the Polish form of Bartholomew. It ultimately derives from the Aramaic name Bar-Talmai, referring to a son of the furrows or a farmer. While used as a formal name in its own right, it retains a friendly, approachable energy in Central Europe.
