In Arabic contexts, Ayen is a variant of Ayn, referring to an eye or a spring/well of water. In Dinka culture of South Sudan, it is a traditional name often given to girls born during a specific time or under certain circumstances. It carries a sense of clarity and essential life-giving properties.
