Aydn is a modern creative spelling of the Irish name Aidan, which originates from the Gaelic name Aodhán. It is a diminutive of Aodh, the name of the Celtic god of fire and sun. In recent years, it has also been associated with the Turkish name Aydın, meaning enlightened or bright.
