In Arabic contexts, Asan is often a variant of Hasan, meaning handsome or good. In Central Asian and Turkic cultures, it is frequently used to mean easy or simple, often given to a child whose birth was uncomplicated. It also has roots in Sanskrit where it can refer to a seat or posture.
