Region of peace and contentment
Derived from a mountainous region of Greece, the name has long been used in literature to represent a pastoral utopia. It symbolizes a return to a simpler, idyllic life in harmony with nature. In Greek mythology, it was the home of Pan and a place of rustic innocence.
