White or bright
Albi is a diminutive form of Albert or Alban. It derives from the Latin 'albus', meaning white or bright, and is also associated with the Germanic elements 'adal' (noble) and 'beraht' (bright) through its connection to Albert. It is also the name of a historic city in southern France.
