Brilliant, shining, or lily
Zula is a name with multiple potential roots, most notably as a diminutive of Zuzanna (the Polish form of Susan) meaning 'lily'. In some African contexts, particularly Ethiopia, it is associated with historical locations and can signify 'brilliant'. It has a vintage charm, having been more common in the late 19th century.
