Derived from the Arabic root 'dh-k-r', Zikra refers to the act of remembering or mentioning. In an Islamic context, it is closely related to 'dhikr', the devotional act of remembering God. It carries a spiritual connotation of mindfulness and keeping something sacred in one's heart.
