Rising sun or morning light
Zeila is a rare name often associated with the ancient port city of Zeila in Somalia, historically a major center of trade. It is also frequently interpreted as a variation of the Arabic name Zaila, meaning 'beautiful' or 'rising sun'. Its usage in the West is very modern and remains quite distinctive.
