Zaphira is a rare variant of the name Sapphire, ultimately derived from the Greek word 'sappheiros' and the Hebrew 'sappir'. It evokes the deep blue gemstone and has historically been associated with beauty and value. While uncommon in the United States, it shares linguistic roots with the more traditional Sephira or Safira.
