Abundant water; the holy well in Mecca
The name refers to the Well of Zamzam located within the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. According to Islamic tradition, it was miraculously generated thousands of years ago when Hagar's son Ishmael was thirsty. The name itself is often associated with the phrase 'Zome Zome', meaning 'stop flowing', which Hagar reportedly said to contain the spring.
