Pledged to God
A variant of Isabella, which is the Spanish and Italian form of Elizabeth. It ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Elisheba, meaning 'God is my oath' or 'pledged to God'. The 'Y' spelling adds a unique, stylized flair to the classic name.
