Yoceline is a modern phonetic variant of Jocelyn. It originates from the Germanic name Gautselin, which referred to a member of the Gauts tribe (a Scandinavian people). While the name was originally masculine in medieval France, it was revived in the 20th century as a feminine choice in English-speaking countries.
