Ylianna is a modern elaboration of Eliana or Ileana. It is often associated with the Greek 'helios' meaning sun, or the Hebrew 'Eliyanah' meaning 'my God has answered'. In some contexts, it is viewed as a variant of the Romanian name Ileana, a form of Helen.
