The exact etymology of Yarelie is debated, but it is often considered a modern American elaboration of the name Yareli. It may derive from the Native American (Huichol) word for 'small' or be a Spanish-influenced variant of the Arabic name Yarali. Its usage is primarily found within Hispanic communities in the United States.
