Yanelly is a modern American elaboration of Yana or Jane, ultimately derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan. It combines the traditional roots of 'John' with the popular Spanish-influenced '-elly' suffix. It is most frequently used within Spanish-speaking communities in the United States.
