A modern variant of Yariza, possibly meaning water or rainbow.
Yahritza is a contemporary name primarily used within the Mexican-American community. While its exact etymology is debated, it is often considered a creative elaboration of Yariza or Yaritza, which may have roots in indigenous South American languages or be a modern Spanish invention. It gained significant visibility in the early 2020s due to the rise of regional Mexican music.
