Immortal or transcendent being
In Chinese mythology and Taoism, the name refers to an enlightened or immortal being who has achieved spiritual transcendence. It is often associated with those who live in the mountains and possess supernatural powers. In a Western context, it is also frequently used as a shorthand or phonetic variant for Christian.
