Crafty or from the willow meadow
Wiley has two primary origins: as a nickname for a 'wily' or crafty person, and as a topographic surname referring to a meadow of willow trees. In the latter sense, it derives from the Old English words 'wilig' (willow) and 'leah' (clearing or meadow).
