Wanderer or traveler
Derived from the Germanic element 'wendel', which refers to the tribe of the Vandals. In a broader sense, it has come to be associated with the concept of a traveler or wanderer. It was popularized in the United States during the 19th century and carries a studious, mid-century charm.
