Derived from the Hebrew name Uriyah, it combines 'ur' (light) and 'yah' (the Lord). In the Old Testament, it is the name of several figures, most notably a loyal soldier in King David's army. It serves as a more phonetic and modern-feeling variation of the traditional Uriah.
