Victory or bird
Torrie is primarily used as a diminutive of Victoria, meaning 'victory' in Latin. It is also occasionally linked to the Japanese name Tori, meaning 'bird'. In English-speaking contexts, it emerged as a modern, playful variation of the more formal Victoria.
