Tochi is a diminutive of several Igbo names such as Tochukwu, which means 'Praise God'. In the Igbo language of Nigeria, 'To' relates to praise and 'Chi' refers to a personal spiritual guardian or God. It is used for both boys and girls, often reflecting a family's gratitude or religious devotion.
