He who is the embodiment of earth
In Aztec mythology, Tlaloc was a powerful deity associated with rain, water, and fertility. The name is derived from the Nahuatl words 'tlalli' meaning earth and 'oc' meaning something that lies upon or is the embodiment of. He was revered as a provider of life-giving water but also feared for his control over thunder and lightning.
