Harvester or late summer; lake or pool
Tesslyn is a modern American invention, likely created by combining the vintage diminutive Tess with the popular suffix -lyn. Tess itself is a derivative of Theresa, which is thought to mean 'to harvest' or 'late summer' in Greek. The addition of the Welsh-inspired -lyn suffix can also imbue the name with the meaning of 'lake' or 'pool'.
