Fairy queen or giant tree
Tanee is a name with multiple possible origins, most notably as a variant of the Russian Tatiana or the Thai name for a specific type of banana tree associated with folklore. In the Thai context, it refers to the Nang Tani, a female spirit of the wild. In Western contexts, it is often used as a creative diminutive of Tanya or Tania.
