Fairy queen or daughter of the sun
Tanaia is a modern variation likely derived from Tatiana or Tania, which traces back to the Roman name Tatius. It is also sometimes associated with Polynesian origins meaning 'daughter of the sun'. In the Russian tradition, it relates to the legendary King of the Sabines.
