Tamora is a variant of the Hebrew name Tamara, which refers to the date palm tree. In ancient cultures, the palm tree symbolized peace, fertility, and victory. The name is most famously recognized as the Queen of the Goths in William Shakespeare's tragedy Titus Andronicus.
