Taiana is often considered a variant of Tatiana, a name of Latin origin derived from the Roman clan name Tatius. It is also frequently associated with Polynesian cultures, particularly in Tahiti, where it refers to a specific type of fragrant flower. In the Russian tradition, it carries the legacy of Saint Tatiana, the patron saint of students.
