Crown or garland
Stephine is a rare variant of Stephanie, which is the feminine form of Stephen. It originates from the Greek word 'stephanos', referring to the laurel wreath or crown awarded to victors in ancient competitions. While the spelling with an 'i' is uncommon, it retains the same regal and victorious etymological roots as its more popular counterparts.
