Stepanie is a rare variant of Stephanie, which is the feminine form of Stephen. It ultimately derives from the Greek word 'stephanos', referring to the laurel crown or wreath given to victors in ancient competitions. While much less common than the traditional spelling, it retains the same regal and victorious connotations.
