Wide meadow or Saint Denis
Commonly used as a short form of Sidney, which derives from the Old English words 'sid' (wide) and 'eg' (island or water meadow). It is also associated with the French place name Saint-Denis. While historically popular in the early 20th century, it now stands as a punchy, minimalist choice.
