Shena is a phonetic variant of Sheena, which is the Anglicized form of Sinead, the Irish Gaelic version of Jane or Joan. It ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Yochanan, meaning 'God is gracious'. While it peaked in popularity in the mid-20th century, it remains a rare choice today.
