Sharina is a modern elaboration of the name Sharon, which refers to the fertile coastal plain in Israel. It combines the biblical roots of Sharon with the popular feminine suffix '-ina'. It may also be used as a variant of the Arabic name Sharina, meaning 'noble' or 'virtuous'.
