Savannah; grassy plain
Sevanna is a modern phonetic variant of Savannah, a name of Spanish origin referring to a tropical grassland or treeless plain. It may also be influenced by the Armenian name Sevan, referring to the largest lake in the Caucasus region. In the US, it is often chosen as a unique alternative to the more traditional geographical name.
