Large, treeless plain
Derived from the Taino word 'zabana', it refers to a flat, grassy tropical or subtropical grassland. While the 'Savannah' spelling is more common, this version offers a streamlined, nature-focused alternative. It gained popularity in the late 20th century alongside other geographical and botanical names.
