Savan is derived from Shravana, the fifth month of the Hindu calendar which falls during the monsoon season. It is considered a holy month dedicated to Lord Shiva, symbolizing rejuvenation and the life-giving properties of rain. In some contexts, it is also associated with the concept of a 'customary law' or 'vow' in ancient scripts.
