Defender of mankind
Sashenka is a Russian diminutive of Sasha, which itself is a short form of Alexandra. It combines the strength of its Greek roots with the affectionate '-enka' suffix common in Slavic languages. While used as a formal name in some cultures, it is traditionally a term of endearment.
