Forty
The name is derived from the Albanian city of SarandΓ«, which takes its name from the Byzantine monastery of the Agioi Saranta, or the 'Forty Saints.' This refers to the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste, a group of Roman soldiers who became martyrs for their Christian faith.
