Samariya is a variant of Samaria, the name of a biblical city and region in Israel. It is derived from the Hebrew word 'shamar', which means to watch, guard, or protect. In a modern context, it is often chosen for its melodic sound and connection to the biblical parable of the Good Samaritan.
