Desert or dawn
As a variant of Sahara, it refers to the vast African desert, derived from the Arabic word for 'desert'. It is also occasionally associated with the Hebrew word for 'moon' or 'dawn' in different linguistic contexts. In the United States, this specific spelling is rare and offers a more phonetic, rhythmic quality than the traditional version.
